Sarah Albert is about much more than mortgages.

Her story is about doing the right thing.

You might even be tempted to call her the “Erin Brockovich” of the Mortgage world.

Like the true life tale of a down on her luck single mother rising to the top by uncovering a systematic cover-up of industrial poisoning, Sarah's passion is being the voice for those who don't know how to yell. Whether is taking on the big banks for clients, fighting for fair play on house league sports teams, or speaking and inspiring groups of “delinquent teens” she has gone head to head with the big boys and has never been intimidated by their bullying or bravado.

Growing up in Toronto, Sarah was one of those kids that was never meant to make it. A ward of Children's Aid, she moved from home to home - decided at the age of 15 that she had had enough - and fought back. Living on her own, finding jobs, paying bills, going to school and taking care of a baby at age 21, this gutsy lady never backed down.

Whether working at Royal Bank, owning a successful Paint Contracting company, or working with HSBC Finance, Sarah has more than earned her stripes over the last 15 years.

She is a rebel.

A fighter, friend and mother.

When it comes to loyalty, there is no one else you would want more on your side than Shona O'Brien.

It doesn't matter if she is whispering confidence to her beautiful trusty mount to make the next jump or navigating a client through the hurdles of their financial roadmap, Shona is passionate about guiding others. Whether its business, mortgages, horseback riding or skating on her homemade rink with her kids, Shona is used to lending her time to offer others a hand up.

Her compassion for people and animals extends far beyond the bounds of the mortgage world, expanding into the Woman's Progress Club and saving the Irishtown Community Centre.

Shona attended both Mount Allison University and Saint Mary's University where she studied Marketing and Finance. She has spent the last 10 years building her career in high level customer service and Project Management. And over the last two years Sarah Albert will tell you this passionate and loyal woman, has been to her as Gayle is to Oprah.

Shona is an avid runner and dreams one day of completing the Boston Marathon. Blessed with two beautiful children Quynn and Gage, this country girl is not scared to stand by people, even if it means she has to pick up a shovel and muck the barn. So if you're the kind of person who will not back down, rest assured neither will Shona.
